Thank you for your interest in RareX 2016 – the first Rare Diseases Conference to be held not only in South Africa but on the African continent. RareX 2016 will be hosted in Cape Town, the Mother City as she is fondly known, from 19 to 22 October 2016. We look forward to welcoming health care, research, academic and industry professionals, as well as patient organisations, regulatory authorities, health associations, public policy professionals, patients, families and caregivers, to this historic event, which is proudly hosted by the Rare Disease Society of South Africa. RareX 2016 will incorporate the 11th International Conference on Rare Diseases & Orphan Drugs (ICORD) which is hosted annually in different countries across the world. 2016 will also be the first year that this conference will be hosted in an African country. It is a massive accolade for South Africa to be selected as host country and we look forward to welcoming the ICORD delegation to Cape Town in October.
